'or, as most of us reading this refer to it: "when I ride my bike to work like every other Wednesday."'

Thought you were going to say "or, as most of us reading this refer to it: amateur day." You could even shorten it to "just another Wednesday."

that velodome looks beautiful on the lake!! oh why o why did they take it down?! i'm signing that petition, and i'm riding it as soon as it is built! shame on you if you don't sign it!

That looks like the old Saltair velodrome. There was also a velodrome at the Salt Palace at the turn of the Century.

ebot, they did not take it down, it burned down in the fire that took out the rest of Salt Air also. I believe the fire happened in 1925. Saltair was rebuilt as "Saltair II" but it did not have the velodrome. Fire took down "Saltair II" 10 years later, and the current pavilion is all that's left of the very popular entertainment venue.

Velofreak, the velodrome that was called the "Salt Palace Velodrome" was actually not quite at the Salt Palace but a few blocks South. Unlike the Saltair velodrome, the "Salt Palace" one was outdoors around 900 South and West Temple IIRC.

Originally response was fine, just long. Just helping you out with the conciseness, Mikey, prepare you for getting tore a new one in your legal writing class. Congrats by the way. I think DePaul was one of the schools I had applied to for law school.
